Meet the first Berkshire-born guide dog litter

The first official litter of Guide Dog puppies have been born in the county.

Earlier this year, Guide Dogs extended its catchment area towards Reading, which has allowed people like Clare Thompson, from Wokingham, to sign up to become what the charity calls a breeding dog holder.

Clare, along with her black Labrador Jan, will say good bye to the pups later this week as they start training to help people with sight loss.

Thompson, who lives in Wokingham, said: "It's going to be so sad to see them all go. We've got used to their little characters, they're all individual little puppies now,"
