University establishes new Indian base
Coventry UniversityCoventry University has opened an office in New Delhi, to support potential overseas students.
Its base in India is its sixth around the globe, joining those in Brussels, Dubai, Africa, China and Singapore.
The university said the hub would house more than 70 staff and also support recruitment in India and business partnerships.
Coventry University already recruits thousands of Indian students every year to its campuses in Coventry and London.
The office is located opposite the British Council India.
Prof John Latham CBE, Coventry University’s vice-chancellor, said it would "streamline communication and collaboration between the university and organisations in Indian education, business and government".
