Man who sexually abused schoolgirl jailed
Humberside PoliceA man who sexually abused a schoolgirl has been jailed for nine years.
Michael Matthews, from Grimsby, denied 10 sexual offences against the child, which took place between 2009 and 2015.
However, he was found guilty of all the charges - including nine of causing a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity and one of assault - following a trial at Hull Crown Court last week.
The 65-year-old, who was sentenced on Thursday, was also given a one-year extended licence period, as well as a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order and restraining order, and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life.
