A man has appeared in court charged with murdering another man in a Lincolnshire town.

Emergency crews found Nigel Booth, 67, seriously injured in a first-floor flat on Foundry Road, Stamford, at about 01:00 BST on Tuesday. He died later from his injuries.

Andrew Greengrass, 36, of Foundry Road, Stamford, appeared before Lincoln Crown Court, where he spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth. No pleas were entered.

He was remanded into custody and is due to appear at a further hearing on 19 December. A provisional two-week trial date was set for 8 April 2026.
