Further weather warning issued after flooding
Eddie MitchellThe Met Office has extended a yellow weather warning across Surrey and West Sussex into Sunday.
Meteorologists have warned there may be disruption from heavy rain until 23:59 BST on Sunday and rainfall may continue into Monday morning.
The warning comes as flooding caused a two-hour disruption to trains between Hurst Green and East Grinstead on Friday.
Hail, thunder and lightning were also reported across the West Sussex area.
Met OfficeAn earlier Met Office yellow warning was issued for thunderstorms across southern England on Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday, it is thought regions could see 30-50mm (1.1-1.9in) of rain fall in less than six hours.
The warning extends to much of southern England and Wales, and up into parts of the East and West Midlands.
Met Office deputy chief meteorologist Dan Harris said: “We are keeping a further warning for Monday under review, so please keep up to date with the latest forecast for your area.”
