Police are appealing for help to find Grant Bolden who did not return to the Suffolk prison on Wednesday

A man jailed for robbery and possession of a firearm has absconded from an open prison.

Grant Bolden, 41, was on temporary release from HMP Hollesley Bay, near the Suffolk coast.

He is serving a seven-year sentence for robbery, threatening a person with an offensive weapon in a public place, and having an imitation firearm with intent to commit an offence.

After failing to return on Wednesday, police are appealing for help to locate Bolden, who also has links to Essex.
