Warning after spate of car thefts across county

There has been a spate of car thefts across Lincolnshire.

Eight cases of thieves stealing keys from owners' homes before making off with their vehicles have been reported in recent weeks, police said.

The latest incident, in the early hours of Monday, saw a VW Golf stolen from South Witham, near Grantham.

Homes in Grantham, Stamford, Boston and Gainsborough have also been targeted, a spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said.

Anyone with information about the thefts is urged to contact police.
