Tribute paid to woman who died in Broughty Ferry collision
Police ScotlandAn 85-year-old pedestrian who died after being struck by a van in Broughty Ferry has been named as Joan Gansh from Dundee.
The incident, which involved a silver Ford Transit, happened on Dundee Road West, near Christian Road, at about 17:25 on Saturday.
Emergency services attended but Mrs Gansh was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family said they were "absolutely devastated" at the "sad loss of their mum, mum-in-law, gran, auntie, sister, and sister-in-law in such a tragic way."
Police Scotland said investigations into the crash were ongoing.
Sgt David Farr said: "Our thoughts remain with Joan's family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
"We know that the road was very busy at the time and would ask that anyone who saw Joan or the van prior to the crash get in touch with us with any information."
