Volunteer platform relaunches after survey results
Association of Guernsey CharitiesAn online service that highlights volunteer services in Guernsey has been relaunched.
The Association of Guernsey Charities (AGC) has upgraded its website and app, based on feedback from a recent survey.
The survey run by the AGC showed factors including the cost of living and an aging population were causing a decline in volunteers.
Kristin Powling, development officer AGC, said it was important to recognise "volunteering must fit into people's lives".
Making a difference
Rebecca Silk from St Martin's Parish Church and Community Centre said the relaunch enabled her to start a new project, when she was previously struggling to find volunteers.
"The events we run here with volunteers...they impact the community in such a positive way and the volunteers get so much out of the experience as well," she added.
