Man charged with arson after community centre fire
Getty ImagesA man has been charged with arson after a fire at a community centre in Worcester.
David Jones, 34, of no fixed abode, was charged with arson, being reckless as to whether life was endangered, assault with intent to rob and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
West Mercia Police said the charges related to a fire at Unity House Community Hub on Stanley Road and an incident on Spring Road, both on Thursday.
Jones has been remanded in custody to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Monday.
In addition, a 34-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found in a garage on Surman Street on Thursday, has been released under investigation, police added.
