Three injured after double decker bus crash

Three people have been injured in a crash involving a double decker bus and van in Birmingham.

It happened on Coventry Road in Small Heath at about 18:00 GMT on Monday. About 30 passengers were on board the bus.

The bus driver was treated for potentially serious injuries and he was taken to hospital for further care.

Two bus passengers, a man and a woman, also received assessment by ambulance staff before they were both taken to hospital for further precautionary checks.

The remaining passengers and van occupants were uninjured.
