Appeal after woman attacked and dog grabbed

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman fell and was knocked unconscious during an assault.

Surrey Police is attempting to identify a person riding a motorcycle who may be able to assist in their investigation into the assault in High Street, Leatherhead, on Thursday.

The woman was walking when she was approached by a man who grabbed her dog and then assaulted her. During the attack, she fell and was knocked unconscious, police said.

The incident resulted in the woman requiring medical treatment in hospital.

Anyone who recognises the motorcyclist, or who was in the area at about 18:30 GMT, is urged to contact the force.
