Police in search for man recover body from lake

Police who are searching for a man have recovered a body from a lake in Coventry, it has been confirmed.

West Midlands Police said it believed the body to be that of Vishnu Jayakumar, 26, who was reported missing earlier this week.

A large police presence was reported at Swansell Park and Pool on Wednesday as officers carried out searches for Jayakumar.

A force spokesperson said the death was not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been informed.

"[Vishnu's] family have been notified and our thoughts remain with his loved ones at this difficult time," the spokesperson added.
