Train depot reopens after £80m redevelopment

Bletchley Train Maintenance Depot has received an £80m refurbishment

A rail depot has been unveiled after receiving an £80m redevelopment.

The Bletchley Train Maintenance Depot in the Buckinghamshire town was reopening by Lord Peter Hendy.

London Northwestern Railway will use the depot to maintain its new fleet of electric trains, which began running this summer, and trains on the Bletchley to Bedford line.

The site will also be used to support trains that will be used on the East West Rail line.

London Northwestern Railway said it had completed the works on the depot to maintain Class 730/2 trains.

The depot will maintain trains that run on services to and from London Euston, including services to Crewe, Northampton and Milton Keynes.
