Two women has been arrested after two men in their 40s were stabbed at a house in Ludlow.

West Mercia Police said officers were called to Old Street shortly after 16:50 GMT on Friday.

The force said the women, both in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and had since been bailed while inquiries continued.

The force said it had recovered a knife and it was looking to identify two other people.

It said the injuries to the two men were not thought to be life-threatening or life changing.

Det Sgt Gareth Owen said the force was trying to establish exactly what had happened, and made an appeal for information from people in the area.
