HM CoastguardTwo teenage boys were rescued after getting stuck on a cliff in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Falmouth Coastguard said its rescue teams assisted Devon and Cornwall Police and were tasked to the incident south of Bude, Cornwall, on Saturday evening.
The two teenagers were airlifted to safety on Sunday morning, Falmouth Coastguard said.
It said it took the teams, from Bude, Boscastle and its helicopter from Newquay, between three to four hours to complete the rescue.
Jill Rylance from Falmouth Coastguard said: "There was quite a lengthy and combined technical rope helicopter rescue.
"With the dark, it made it a little more complex, but thankfully it all ended well."
