Artists will be able to use a former village school for their studios after a planning application got the go-ahead.

The former Wootton-by-Woodstock Primary School in Wootton, near Woodstock, Oxfordshire, closed in 2023 after it was significantly under its capacity of 70 pupils.

Its Grade II listed buildings are owned by the Parrott & Lee Educational Foundation and remain in good condition.

West Oxfordshire District Council approved the application to use the site as studios for two local artists who have lived in nearby Rousham for decades.
