A driver has died after a crash in West Yorkshire on Thursday night.

Police said the incident happened on the A58 Rochdale Road in Ripponden shortly after 21:30 GMT when a man in a VW T-Roc collided with a parked car at the road's junction with White Hart Fold.

The man, who was in his 60s, is believed to have suffered a medical episode, police added. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers have appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
