Fly-tipping arrest over 'organised' dumping in East

A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into organised fly-tipping across several counties in the East of England.

The Environment Agency (EA) said the man was arrested in Harlow, in Essex, on Thursday in relation to "large-scale, organised fly-tipping across several counties including Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex".

It said Hertfordshire Police also executed three warrants as part of an investigation into the dumping of waste across East Anglia and the home counties.

The EA said the arrest would enable it to continue its investigative work.
