Part of a road in the west of the Isle of Man is to close for four days for highway maintenance work.

The 1.8 mile (3km) section of the Switchback Road, which links the Poortown Road in German to the area on Knocksharry on the A4 Coast Road in Michael, is to be shut until 16 January.

The highway patching work is also to affect the adjoining area of Lhergydhoo.

A diversion will be in place, directing traffic to the A4 Coast Road, Oak Road, and Poortown Road.

The closure starts from 09:30 GMT, and is in place until 15:30 on 16 January.
