The flat in Hendon Valley Court has been partially closed for three months

A flat has been partially closed for three months due to crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour concerns.

Numerous neighbours around Hendon Valley Court in Hendon, Sunderland, had made complaints about the property, Northumbria Police said.

The court ordered partial closure means no one except the tenant, landlord or their agents, council officers or emergency services can enter the premises.

Anyone else doing so could be arrested.

Insp Jamie Southwell, of the force's Sunderland Area Command, said people living nearby "should be able to enjoy hassle-free lives without having to worry about further incidents at the flat".
