Body found in search for missing student
Lincolnshire PoliceA body has been found following extensive searches for a student who was reported missing in Lincoln.
Police said 20-year-old Connor James Calleja, from Market Harborough in Leicestershire, was last seen on Sunday near Court 1 on the University of Lincoln campus before he disappeared.
In a statement on Tuesday, a Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said a body had been discovered during a search of the Foss Bank - a body of water close to the Brayford Pool.
The force said although formal identification had yet to take place, the body was believed to be Connor.
Police said Connor's family had been made aware and were being supported by specially trained officers.
There were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, the force added.
In a message to students, the university described the news as "devastating" and offered its "sincerest condolences and thoughts to Connor's family and friends".
