Man charged with murder after woman's death

A man has been charged with murdering a woman who was found dead at a housing estate in Manchester.

Police were called to an address in Lulworth Gardens, Wythenshawe, and found the woman unresponsive following reports of a disturbance at about 08:30 GMT on Tuesday.

Emergency services attended but the woman, aged in her 30s, died at the scene.

Syed Rafay Ahmad, 44, of Lulworth Gardens, has been remanded in custody to appear at Stockport Magistrates' Court on Thursday, Greater Manchester Police said.
