The CQC said the care home was "no longer rated as inadequate"

A care home that was placed in special measures has now been rated good by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Woodview Care Centre in Lincoln was found to have breached eight legal regulations when it was inspected in July 2025.

Following its latest assessment, in November 2025, the CQC said management had "demonstrated improvements had been made. The service is no longer rated as inadequate overall or in any of the key questions".

The home on Lincoln Road provides care and support for older adults, people living with dementia, younger adults, and people with physical disabilities and mental health conditions.

A CQC report following the latest assessment said: "People were cared for by staff who were kind and compassionate. People's needs were assessed, and staff worked well together and with professionals to deliver coordinated care."

The report said safeguarding procedures had been improved and staffing levels "were generally safe".

It praised the "positive culture of openness and inclusion" among workers and management.

Service users were "positive about the kindness and compassion shown by staff", inspectors found.

However, concerns were raised over care plans and "further improvements were required in infection prevention and control, care planning and medicines monitoring".
