Woman seriously injured after being hit by car

A woman suffered serious injuries when she was hit by a car, police have said.

Surrey Police attended Warwick Road, Redhill, at about 09:30 BST on Monday following the incident.

A police spokesperson said the woman was taken to hospital and the driver remained on scene to assist officers with their inquiries.

They appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash or has footage of the incident to contact police.
