Housing estate project revealed for village

Developers have submitted plans to build up to 150 homes on the edge of a village in Leicestershire.

Proposals for the housing estate on an area of farmland south of Kilby Road in Fleckney have been submitted to Harborough District Council.

The developer Catesby Estates has also revealed plans for public open space, children's play areas, landscaping, drainage and other associated infrastructure.

It comes after David Wilson Homes lodged an application for 170 homes on land off nearby Garner Way in April.

Documents submitted with the application say the development would provide up to 40% affordable housing.
