BBCA man has been charged with murder after the discovery of a woman's body on Merseyside.
George Christopher Gordon, 65, has been charged with murdering 64-year-old Delia McInerney whose body was found in Gerards Court, Hawes Avenue, Clinkham Wood, St Helens, on 8 January.
He is charged with murdering Ms McInerney, of Anfield, Liverpool, on or before 12 April 2023, the Crown Prosecution Service said.
Gordon, of Clinkham Wood, St Helens, has also been charged with three counts of fraud by false representation contrary to Section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006 and theft.
He is due to appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Monday.
The CPS said it had previously authorised two charges against Gordon including the prevention of a lawful and decent burial of a body and obstructing the coroner in the execution of their duty.
He is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on 13 February for a plea-and-trial preparation hearing on these matters.
"Delia's family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers," police said.
