Lorry fire causes long delays on M4
Bryan Stokes-HazellTwo lanes of a busy motorway are shut due to an articulated lorry catching fire, causing long delays.
The M4 was closed westbound between Bath/Tormarton at junction 18 and Bristol at junction 19, at 05:55 GMT on Thursday but has since partially reopened.
One onlooker reported seeing "four massive explosions" from the vehicle.
Drivers currently face delays of 30 minutes, National Highways said on its website, and the motorway is not expected to reopen fully until at least 11:00.
Recovery vehicles are now on the scene, according to traffic updates site Inrix.
