Music producer 'beyond words' at honorary degree
University of WolverhamptonA music producer who was awarded an honorary doctorate said the title was "truly the pinnacle" of his career.
Harpreet Singh Jandu, known for his stage name PBN, has performed across the world and collaborated with Punjabi artists like Miss Pooja and H-Dhami.
The artist from Wolverhampton was made an honorary Doctor of Music by the city's university for making a "significant contribution to their field of expertise".
Mr Jandu described it as "one of the biggest achievements in his career" so far.
He added he was grateful the university was celebrating his contribution to the music industry.
"To receive such recognition is an honour beyond words, I am humbled and grateful to the University of Wolverhampton in acknowledging my work and career," he said.
After leaving his job as a project manager 15 years ago to pursue a career in music, Mr Jandu said he never imagined this moment.
"This isn’t just a win for me, it’s a win for panjabi music and culture," he added.
