'We tied the knot... then went for a coffee'
SuppliedA couple took the usual wedding breakfast tradition particularly seriously by heading to a cafe, for a morning pastry, immediately after tying the knot.
Katie Molloy, 28, and Gouse Subhan Saheb, 29, were wed during a low-key and intimate morning ceremony at the Sudbury Registry Office.
Afterwards, they took photos outside and listened to a busker before opting for a humble hot brew at a coffee shop instead of a large, over-the-top celebration.
"I think that's the way me and my husband are. We're very realistic and I think sometimes it can be very overwhelming to get married," said Molloy.
"But I also think it was just timing – we couldn't really go straight to lunch, so we thought 'let's have a coffee'.
"I preferred it - it wasn't your sort of normal coffee stop, because obviously we were a bit dressed up and talking to strangers, but that made it very special for us."
As word started to spread within the cafe, one woman sitting nearby left before returning with a card and some balloons for the couple.
"It was such a raw moment that you wouldn't be able to sort of plan," added Molloy.
By coincidence, BBC Radio Suffolk breakfast presenter Wayne Bavin was hosting his show in the cafe at the time.
He was there as part of his Cuppa with the County week of on-the-road broadcasts, during which he shone a spotlight on five different Suffolk towns.

The loved-up couple plan to fork out on a much larger celebration in the near future.
"It was unplanned and just really heartwarming to see such lovely people around you, even strangers, wishing you all the best," said Subhan Saheb.
"It was beautiful how people shared their lives with us and then told us how they're planning to do what we'd just done - it was emotional."
Molloy and Subhan Saheb, who tied the knot in front of Molloy's mum and her partner, met three and a half years ago through a dating app - and the rest, is history.
"On our first date we stayed out all night until the morning and we watched the sunrise," added Subhan Saheb.
"We met at six in the evening and then we went back at six in the morning - it was beautiful and just really, really nice."
