Police appeal after masked offenders steal ATM cash

Police have appealed for information after three masked offenders broke into an ATM and stole a "significant amount of cash".

Officers were called to the Natwest cash machine in St John's Street, Wirksworth, following the theft, which occurred between 00:20 GMT and 00:30 on Tuesday.

Derbyshire Police said the individuals arrived in a dark coloured BMW 4 Series coupe and proceeded to break into the cash machine and took money from inside.

The offenders left in the direction of the Hope and Anchor pub and travelled along the B5056, the force added.

Police have asked anyone with any information or with CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.
