Former BBC radio DJ charged with sex offences
FacebookA former radio DJ has appeared in court charged with more than 30 offences, including rape and alleged sex offences against children.
Brian Shuttlewood hosted rock "n" roll shows on BBC Radio Leicester from 1978 until 1995. He was also known as The Big Bopper.
The alleged offences, which include several counts of rape, indecent assault and gross indecency, are said to have taken place between 1972 and 1990, according to court documents.
The 79-year-old, of Margaret Villas in Beards Road, Newhall, Derbyshire, has pleaded not guilty to all the charges he faces, with his next hearing due to take place on 17 February at Leicester Crown Court.
A trial was previously set to take place on 6 January, but this was adjourned.
The charges relate to four individuals, whose identities are automatically protected by law.
