E-scooter rider in critical condition after crash

A man was seriously injured when he reportedly lost control and fell from an e-scooter, police said.

Humberside Police said the 22-year-old man was travelling on an e-scooter along Swanland Road in Hessle at about 15:25 BST on Saturday when the crash happened.

The force said the man was taken to hospital where he was in a critical condition.

Officers urged anyone who witnessed the incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.
