Two more men have been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man in Huddersfield earlier this week.

The victim was found seriously injured on Greenwood Street, in the Primrose Hill area of the town, at about 16:15 GMT on Tuesday, and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to West Yorkshire Police.

A 25-year-old man was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murder, while another man, also 25, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, a force spokesperson said.

Meanwhile, five men, aged between 48 and 51, who were previously arrested on suspicion of murder, remained in police custody for questioning, they added.

Officers were continuing to appeal for information and footage regarding the incident, the spokesperson said.

Anyone who had seen, or had information about, suspicious activity or disturbances in Orchard Street and Greenwood Street over the past few days was asked to get in touch with West Yorkshire Police.
