Dog attack girl, 10, has 'life-changing injuries'

A 10-year-old girl has been seriously injured in a dog attack in Greater Manchester, with two people arrested.

Police were called to reports of the child being attacked in Roseneath Road, Bolton, shortly before 15:30 GMT on Wednesday.

The girl was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be life-changing, Greater Manchester Police said.

Two dogs were seized and a 28-year-old man and a woman, 52, were held on suspicion of possessing a dangerously out of control dog.

Police have not said what breeds the dogs were.
