An A-road has been closed westbound following a crash and fuel spillage, police have said.

The A303 is shut between Amesbury Road and Allington Track and there are long delays on the routes through Cholderton and Allington, according to traffic monitoring site Inrix. The eastbound carriageway was closed earlier, but has since reopened, police said.

Wiltshire Police and Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance to deal with the spillage and recover the vehicles involved.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and find alternative routes.
