E-bike rider seriously injured in crash

An electric bicycle rider sustained serious injuries during a crash which closed a road.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to St Clare Street in Penzance at about 23:15 BST on Friday after receiving reports of a single-vehicle crash.

The force said a local man in his 50s was taken to hospital and the road was closed while investigation work was carried out at the scene.

Anyone with information about the incident including dashcam or CCTV footage has been asked to contact police.
