Bedfordshire Police said a man in his 30s was left with life-threatening injuries

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another man was left with life-threatening injuries.

Bedfordshire Police said it was called to reports of a stabbing in The Hawthorns, Flitwick, at about 22:50 BST on Thursday.

The force said emergency services attended and a man in his 30s was taken to hospital.

A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remained in police custody for questioning.

Officers said a scene guard was in place. People have been advised to seek alternative routes.
