'Repeated vandalism' closes park toilets - council

Public toilets in a Surrey park have been temporarily closed following "repeated incidents of vandalism", according to Runnymede Borough Council (RBC).

The toilets affected are in Victory Park in Chertsey Road, Addlestone.

It follows the restoration and reopening of the disabled facilities on 1 August, which the council said was targeted again shortly afterwards.

An RBC spokesperson said: "We understand how disappointing this is for park users and are considering longer-term options to ensure facilities can be provided in a more reliable way."

The toilets were closed on Friday.
