Coastguard searches for girls on tidal beach
Michael Garlick/GeographSearch and rescue helicopters and coastguard vessels were deployed on Sunday after reports that two girls might be about to get cut off by the incoming tide.
Norfolk Police said a member of the public was worried after seeing the girls walking at low tide at Burnham Overy Staithe at about 21:36 BST.
Emergency teams from Hunstanton and Wells were sent out to help with the search, but police said no-one matching the girls' description was found or reported missing and the search was called off at about 03:47.
HM Coastguard said: "An extensive search of the area was conducted and nothing untoward was found."
