The sentencing of a man involved in a street fight in Derbyshire that led to a 19-year-old's death has been adjourned until the new year.

Joshua Harris, 24, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Liam Derrett, who suffered head injuries after he was attacked in Market Place, Ilkeston, in the early hours of 1 June, and died in hospital days later.

Kai Donachie, 23, of Bilborough Road in Nottingham, admitted affray and was bailed on Monday with conditions after spending more than six months on remand.

Both men had initially been charged with murder in the days after the fight, but Derbyshire Police said the new charges were accepted by the prosecution during a hearing in October.

The pair are due to be sentenced on 2 February.
