The boss of a garage where 18 vehicles were vandalised has said he is struggling to comprehend what has happened.

Mike Graham, director of GM Motors which is based at Thompson Motors in Castel, Guernsey, said the vehicles were damaged between 04:00 BST and 05:00 on Wednesday.

Mr Graham said it would have a massive impact on the business.

Guernsey Police has launched an investigation and asked anyone who witnessed what happened or was in the area at the time to contact them or Crimestoppers.

Mr Graham said: "Obviously when you're told some of the cars have been damaged, you expect it to be wing mirrors, lights or windscreens.

"But when I got up here to see the amount of damage that had been done, it was absolutely insane and it proper knocked me out."
