Two men have been jailed for supplying £500,000 worth of drugs across East Yorkshire.

Daniel Moss, 40, of Hull Road, Cottingham, and David Brown, 39, of Waterside, Beverley, operated in Beverley and surrounding villages.

Both men were sentenced at Hull Crown Court on Tuesday.

Moss was jailed for six years and one month, while Brown was sentenced to three years and 10 months' imprisonment. Both defendants had pleaded guilty to a number of offences at previous hearings.

Moss admitted possession with intent to supply class A drugs, being concerned in the supply of cocaine and acquiring, possessing or using criminal property.

Brown admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine and possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Humberside Police said an investigation began in 2020 after officers executed warrants at eight properties in Beverley.

Officers recovered a number of 'burner' phones, about £162,000 worth of drugs and approximately £11,200 in cash.

Police said Moss and Brown were later found to be part of an organised crime group, instructing others to supply the drugs.

The pair used the proceeds of their crimes to fund "lavish lifestyles", the force said.

Three other members of the gang were previously charged for their involvement in the drugs network and were sentenced last year, police said.

Speaking at the conclusion of the case, PC Claire Dobson said: "The drugs and cash seized throughout this investigation highlight the luxurious lifestyle these men were living off the back of the drugs they were bringing into our communities.

"We work relentlessly to disrupt and dismantle organised crime groups operating within our area, with a particular focus on those leading the groups and those posing the greatest threat to our communities," she added.
