A Channel Islands stock exchange boss has won an award at a ceremony celebrating female leadership and diversity in the financial industry.

Kay McCarthy, head of The International Stock Exchange's (TISE) Jersey office, was given a gold award at the 2026 Citywealth Powerwomen Awards.

TISE, whose main headquarters is in Guernsey, said the prize recognised McCarthy's work as an "outstanding leader" which had helped the firm "unlock significant opportunities" across the business.

McCarthy said she was delighted to have won the Woman of the Year award at the ceremony in London.

"It was a privilege to be shortlisted alongside such esteemed industry peers," she added.

Cees Vermaas, chief executive of TISE said: "Kay is an outstanding leader of our Jersey business, bringing a depth of experience and expertise."
