Witness appeal after woman dies following crash
GooglePolice have appealed for witnesses following the death of an elderly woman nearly five weeks after she was involved in a crash near Wakefield.
The woman, 93, from Wakefield, was a front seat passenger in a red Hyundai i10 which was in collision with a parked white Ford Transit campervan near Netherton Hall Drive in Netherton on 24 February, according to West Yorkshire Police.
The Hyundai was being driven on Netherton Lane from the direction of Horbury Bridge when the crash happened at about 12:10 GMT, police said. The car's driver, a man, 88, was uninjured.
Although the woman suffered minor injuries, her condition declined in hospital and she died in a hospice on Saturday, officers said.
Anyone who saw what happened, or witnessed the circumstances beforehand, was asked to contact police.
