Woman badly injured in two-car crash

A woman has suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision between two cars in Leeds.

The woman, aged in her 60s, was driving a Volkswagen Up on Woodhall Road away from Calverley when it collided with a Skoda Kodiaq travelling in the opposite direction.

She was taken to hospital for treatment after the crash, which happened just before 14:30 BST on Wednesday, West Yorkshire Police said.

The force appealed for witnesses or anyone with footage to get in touch.
