Suspended sentence for man with child abuse images

A man who was found to have hundreds of indecent images of children has received a 15 month suspended jail sentence.

Lee Broders, 56, from Broughall, near Whitchurch, pleaded guilty to six offences in January and was sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court on 30 April.

The offences took place between August 2018 and July 2023, and he admitted three offences of making indecent images of children, one of distributing indecent images of children, one of possessing prohibited images of children and one of possessing an extreme pornographic image.

As well as the prison sentence, which was suspended for two years, he was placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
