Arrest after motorcyclist suffers serious injuries

A driver has been arrested after a motorbike rider suffered serious injuries after a crash by a caravan park.

Lancashire Police said the man's Kawasaki motorcycle hit a Citroen C1 as the car tried to turn right at 17:30 GMT on Boxing Day in Morecambe.

The rider, in his 20s, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries in the crash on Westgate, the force added.

The man, in his 30s, who was driving the car has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless driving. Police have appealed for any CCTV or dashcam footage.
