Works are to take place at car parks in Surrey Heath in an attempt to improve safety

Improvement works are to take place at a number of car parks in Surrey Heath to make them safer to use.

Essential works will begin at Watchetts Drive on 31 July, followed by Wilton Road on 9 August, Burrell Road on 15-16 August and Martindale Avenue on 21-22 August.

Planned activities include refreshing line markings, addressing potholes and repainting barriers where necessary.

“We apologise in advance for any inconvenience these essential works may cause,” a Surrey Heath Borough Council spokesman said.

To minimise disruption, the works will start at 06:00 BST on each scheduled day, the council added.
