Two men have been charged following a series of car thefts in different parts of Londonderry in the early hours of Sunday.

The 25-year-olds have been charged with a number of offences including taking a motor vehicle without authority, dangerous driving, interference with vehicles and failing to stop for police.

Both are due to appear at Londonderry Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

Police said the thefts happened in the Woodbrook, Parklands and Victoria Gate areas and one vehicle was later found in Bridgend, County Donegal.
